Tomorrow’s the big day. After postponing needed surgery for 10 years, I’m finally ready. Finding the right medical team, learning to overcome or work around additional medical challenges and finding a substitute caregiver for my mother took time. Then there’s the matter of making sure all your affairs are in order just in case.
