I’m not an expert, they say, because I don’t have enough degrees. I think our society has become too focused on experts who lack common sense. The evidence is all around us.

The U.S. economy is one example. How long did it take the experts to realize we were in trouble? Don’t give me that baloney about talking the economy into a recession. We’ve been living in Never Never Land for years.

Ask the average middle income family. Their real wages and savings accounts have been shrinking for decades. If more journalists had interviewed the real experts, everyday people who live with the consequences of public and business policy, they would have realized the truth much sooner.

Remember that experts built the Titanic. Amateurs built the ark.
