Research, Communication, Prayer Ensure Smooth Surgery

I’m back! Aside from the normal post-surgical pains, I’ve been feeling better since I woke up from my surgery, and the procedure didn’t reveal any life-threatening problems.

Despite some complications with previous surgeries, the procedure went smoothly. The dietary staff at the hospital even accommodated my special needs.

How did I manage to avoid repeating problems from the past? Personal research helped me understand some of the intricacies of what happened before, and I openly shared these details with my surgeon. She told me what personal precautions to take. She then scheduled my check-in appointment a week before the surgery to give me time to consult with other professionals who would be involved in my care.

The final insurance, however, came from the prayers of friends and family throughout this area and around the country. From the time I left home, I was totally at peace and knew I wouldn’t have any major complications.
